Bungee jumping is a modern version of the "Gkol", an ancient ritual born about 4.000 miles away from
the Eastern Australian coast in the Pacific Ocean, where, in the New Hebridis archipelago Vanuatu Island can be found.
The first Bungee jump in Europe was made in the 70's, thanks to the Oxford University "Dangerous Sports Club",
who were determined to find a valid alternative to the tree liane, defining the basic realisation of Bungee Jumping.
They used a bunch of small elastic ropes, the same ones used to keep luggage on the roof rack of a car!
The first Bungee Jump site open to the public was in France in 1987.
Amongst one of those founders could be found one of our old Technical Directors.
